The comeback is always greater than the setback...

Hello, everyone. Muhammed Ali may have said those words, but our dear friend, Marla Prescott, has embodied them. Twelve plus years ago (June 10, 2010), Marla underwent nine hours of surgery at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to remove an aggressive glioblastoma cancerous tumor near her brain's motor strip. With her amazing wife, Robin, by her side and the loving support of hundreds of friends and family, Marla completed radiation and chemotherapy and put every ounce of determination and courage into her recovery. We all rejoiced with her and Robin; you’d think the miracle of her comeback for the past twelve years would be enough. But it isn’t. She’s back in the ring again – the cancer has returned.

She’s been accepted into an immunotherapy clinical trial at Regions Hospital and will be returning home soon to start down this new path of hope. There are some daunting financial ramifications associated with Marla going home, and that’s why we’re reaching out today. Robin and Marla’s mom, Carolyn, are exhausted. Marla will need more help to live at home than both of them can muster, so they’ll need to hire some help. Robin has missed work and is running out of paid time off. There are some adjustments to their home that will need to be made. Equipment needs. Regulator time, now, people. Time to do what needs to be done.
