WHEN "ENOUGH" IS TOO MUCH!!

Brandon Johnson needs our help. I’ll say it again and again... I know injustice when I see it and A $1.5 MILLION BOND FOR A 4TH DEGREE ARSON CHARGE THAT CARRIES UP TO A $5,000 FINE OR AN 18 MONTH SENTENCE is a perfect example of injustice, and Brandon Johnson is in dire need of our help.

Many have seen the news reports regarding his arrest for an alleged offense relative to the protest in Columbus, Ohio, but what the the news did not tell you is that Brandon Johnson is a young man who suffers from an Acquired Brain Injury!  

7 1/2 years ago, during his first month away at college on a Baseball scholarship, Brandon suffered a sinus infection that traveled to his brain and caused acute brain trauma. As a result, Brandon was unable to walk, speak or move the entire left side of his body, and his weight dropped from 240 to 149 lbs.   While Brandon’s physical healing process has been "Miraculous”, he is left with serious damage to the frontal lobe of his brain.  Every day since then has been a struggle.  Another effect is a compromised immune system, which puts him at a greater risk for serious complications from COVID-19.

Currently, Brandon is being held in a Franklin County Correctional Facility with a $1.5 Million bond for his role in the 2020 Columbus protest.   While we may not agree with the actions of some of our youth during the protests, we understand the anger and the frustration that led to it.   

While some progress is being made, the real indication that Black Lives Matter will be a reform in the broken criminal justice system. This bond is UNJUST for anyone, but especially for someone who has a far deeper story to tell.

Please stand up and fight for Brandon today and help assure that this young man’s constitutional rights are protected and he does not become another casualty of over indictment, the plea bargain trap, or any other practices that are common in our judicial system.

All donations will be used towards Brandon's bond and legal fees.
