Love Bart To Life

Donation protected
Many of you have asked what you can do to help. First and foremost, lets be clear that the #1 thing you can do to help is to not support Bart’s drinking in any whatsoever. Do not serve him alcohol, do not offer him a drink, do not bring him alcohol in any form. Love him to life, not death!

Secondly, it is difficult for us to come to this point, but we think that in any case, there is going to come a time where financial help would be a great source of relief for the involved parties. When Bart recovers he will have accumulated a large sum of debt including, but not limited to: medical, rent, utilities, insurance, late fees and fines. He will also be needing to continue a high level of treatment for both the physical ramifications and the emotional recovery in order to make sure he does not return to the state in which he is now. Rehab will be an absolute necessity in order to keep Bart alive, if and when he does indeed survive this. All of these things can add up and become overwhelming. It would be hugely helpful if we were to gather funds in order to help alleviate his financial burden. We’d like to gather as much as possible so that if and when Bart does come out of this, he is unable to say no to our requests to attend a rehabilitation facility.

You may be concerned that Bart cannot handle the funds appropriately. Please know this is not intended to ever reach Bart’s hands directly, as we are well aware of the possibility of it not being handled properly. Know that the funds will go directly to a trusted source and handled with the utmost discretion and in the best interest of Bart.
In the event that Bart does not come through this, any remaining funds will go to cover funeral costs and if anything at all is left, it will then be used to cover costs for his father.
Some of you may know that his father was recently placed in a memory care center for his rapidly progressive dementia. While his treatment and care may be eventually covered by Medicare; his creature comforts are not. Bart has been caring for his father and providing these things and we wish to continue to do so in his absence. Due to his illness he regularly loses things like his shoes and glasses. Bart replaces them as needed, we don’t want him to ever have to go without. Bart being Bart even sees to it that his dad gets his daily milk and cookies. The best thing for Bart’s father is for life to resume as normal as possible. These little things can help to aid that.

Bart has touched us all in some very special way. There were few people that Bart met that he didn’t make an impact on. He made us all smile and laugh and feel like we were the most important people in his life. Now for the first time in his life he’s bringing tears to our eyes, and they’re not “laughing so hard we’re crying” tears. We’re all devastated and lost and confused as to why this is happening to someone that brought us so much joy. Sometimes, just feeling like we’re all helpless and at times a little hopeless. If you want to try and help in some way, this is one way that would make a huge impact. We would be forever grateful for whatever amount you would feel comfortable contributing. No amount is too small, every little bit will go where is needs to make sure that Bart is taken care of in the best possible way. Thank you in advance for whatever contribution you are able to make, especially the non-financial variety.

Thanks everyone for being his freind!
