Support Noah and his Family ❤️
Donation protected
Hey folks, to begin, we want to acknowledge and thank everyone who has reached out to us and supported us regarding my nephew Noah. We are in deep gratitude to you all.
The outpouring of love and the generosity of people has amazed us.
Our GoFundme has now being CLOSED FOR DONATIONS.
Like everyone in this situation, we never thought it would happen to someone in our immediate family.
As so many of you have reached out to us we decided we would go ahead with a GoFundme.
To tell you about Noah(my nephew) my brother Vinny's and his wife Jackie's youngest son, born 7 years ago 10 weeks premature, Noah has proven to be a strong fighter from the day he arrived with a very rocky start in life!
Noah attends St Aidan's National school in Enniscorthy autism unit and was diagnosed at age 3 with ASD. Autism Spectrum Disorder. With the help of his wonderful teachers and family has learned to manage the differences he has in his development as a part of ASD.
We know Noahie as we call him to be strong, funny, beautiful, a rascal and amazing boy who is the stamp of his dad, and his brothers Alex best friend. He is adored by his mam, his sisters Leeanne and Sarah, all our families and extended families.
We want to acknowledge their support also, our friends, close family and extended family who have been absolutely amazing.
Three weeks ago Noah was diagnosed with a brain tumor, grade 4 medulloblastoma. This as you can imagine has been massive shock especially to his adoring parents. Noah's tumor was successfully removed after surgery in Temple street and we are happy to report a recent lumbar puncture has shown to be clear.
Noah is heading for Germany to Essen where he will now receive specialist treatment, proton therapy which is a type of radium therapy to treat cancerous tumors and prevent their return. Following 6 weeks in Germany he will return to Ireland for 5 to 6 months of chemo therapy.
He has a long and tough road ahead.
We are hopeful and positive that these therapies will help prevent the return of this type of tumor or cancer in Noah.
Noah's parents Vinny and Jackie will travel to Germany with Noah along with his brother Alex who is 10. It's recommended that the family stay together and we feel it's important for Noah's recovery.
The HSE and the Gavin Glynn Foundation cover the cost of the treatment, transport and accommodation in Germany. Living costs must be covered by the family, Vinny and Jackie will be out of work for months with no idea when one will be able to return to work. Bills there and at home will mount up as you might imagine.
We are asking if you wish to assist that you donate here to this GoFundme and the support you give will give the family the relief of not worrying about building expenses and bills.
We are not asking for alot, we fully understand that everyone has their responsibilities and pressures in life so whatever you wish to donate will be greatly welcomed and never forgotten.
We hope none of you ever have this experience for you or your families and we wish you all good health always and send our thanks once again to you.
Thank you
Linda (Noah's aunty)
