Help Umm Sham and her family from the war, October
Donation protected
Hello Kind Souls,
My name is Shaimaa. I am from Mawasi – Khan Younis. I am 8 months pregnant and a
mother to my beautiful 2-year-old daughter, Sham. My life has become a daily struggle for
survival.
The Situation I Face
● My Health: I am 8 months pregnant, and my situation is heartbreaking. I don’t have
access to a bathroom, which is especially difficult now as I prepare to give birth.
Exhausted and in constant pain, I still have to walk long distances to fetch water for
my daughter and me. I suffer from stomach problems that require proper food and
clean water, but I can only afford canned food, which worsens my condition.
I cry silently because I cannot buy warm clothes for the baby in my womb. The
thought of giving birth in a freezing tent, without even basic care, fills me with fear.
● My Daughter, Sham: Sham has already lost half her body weight due to
malnutrition. She cries from hunger because I cannot provide her with milk or healthy
food. I am terrified of losing her as I watch her grow weaker each day.
● Our Shelter: We live in a fragile tent that cannot protect us from the cold of winter.
The thin fabric does nothing to block the freezing winds. Rain leaks through, soaking
our blankets and clothes. We have no proper bedding, no winter clothes, and
nowhere safe to rest. I am haunted by the thought of giving birth in this broken tent,
without access to even a basic bathroom or proper care.
Every day is a battle to survive. I am exhausted, yet I carry on for my children, walking long
distances to fetch water, struggling to do even the most basic tasks.
Why Your Help Matters
This campaign is about survival. Your support can provide the essentials I cannot afford:
● Milk and Food for my daughter, Sham, to regain her strength and health.
● Nutritional Food and Water to sustain me and protect my unborn child.
● Warm Clothing and Blankets to shield us from the freezing cold.
● A Safer Shelter: Your donation will help us reinforce or improve our tent to make it a
warmer, safer place for me to give birth and protect my children from the winter’s
harsh conditions.
For you, your donation may seem small—a skipped coffee, a night in—but for my family, itmeans hope, health, and the chance to survive another day.
How Your Donations Will Be Used
All funds will go directly toward:
1. Food, milk, and water for my daughter and myself.
2. Warm clothes and blankets to protect us from the cold.
3. Improving our shelter by securing the tent and making it a safer, warmer place to live.
4. Basic medical needs and support as I prepare to give birth.
