Love for Lindsay

We are starting a Go Fund Me for our dear friend Lindsay Kelsay (Flath) and her daughter Kaleigh.

 

Lindsay is strong, brave, fun-spirited and has been our long-time friend since grade school. Lindsay is self-employed at Pinckney Barbershop. She is adventurous and has always loved to travel. Lindsay's number one priority is her daughter Kaleigh.

 

Kaleigh is 15 years old and attends Gabriel Richard. She plays volleyball and is currently taking Driver’s Ed. Kaleigh has always been very involved in school activities and is a good student. Due to restrictions in the hospital, Kaleigh has only been able to see her mom a few times.

 

In November 2021, Lindsay was involved in a serious car accident resulting in 2 breaks involving her pelvis and femur which required surgery. Lindsay was discharged to go home and recover but was soon re-admitted to the hospital due to decreased circulation and blood clots in her leg. This resulted in a left below-the-knee amputation. She spent many weeks in the hospital due to pain, a fever, and other complications. Lindsay was finally discharged and went home for a few weeks but then had to return to the hospital because her incision was not healing.  Unfortunately, she had to undergo the same surgery to remove more bone and tissue. She now has a wound vac on her left leg, below the knee where the amputation was done. On top of all of this trauma, Lindsay's insurance has denied coverage for many of these procedures and will not cover home care, as well as denied her rehabilitation. Lindsay is in good spirits, but with the overwhelming responsibilities of life and the possibility of not ever being able to return to work, WE are asking for your help!
