Support Jack's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
On June 3rd, our grandson Jack Insinga was involved in a terrible accident while driving his truck, resulting in very serious injuries. Jack lost his left foot at the scene of the accident, suffered third degree burns to both legs, and significant injuries to his right leg and foot. He was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center, where he underwent the first of many surgeries. He has now been transferred to St. Barnabas Burn Center, where he has started his long road to recovery. This unforeseen tragedy has not only impacted him physically, but it will also place an immense financial burden on him and his family.
Recovery will be long, difficult, and very challenging for this vivacious young man, so we are initiating this fundraiser to help alleviate some of the financial pressures that he will be faced with at such a young age.
Unfortunately, Jack's car insurance will not cover much of his medical expenses, and while he also has health insurance coverage, the out-of-pocket expenses will be numerous and exorbitant. The funds raised will go directly towards the cost of the many surgeries he will endure, in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation expenses, a prosthetic, physical therapy and all other medical treatments and procedures he will continue to face throughout his recovery.
We are reaching out to friends, family, and anyone touched by Jack’s story to come together and contribute what you can. We know that times are difficult for so many, but every little bit helps and will bring Jack one step closer to recovery and independence.
For those of you who do not know Jack personally, he is 18 years old and set to graduate high school very soon. Jack is very kind and hardworking, with a heart for adventure. He loves the outdoors, especially hunting with his Poppy and fishing. There is nothing more that Jack would like right now than to be out in the woods hunting or on the banks of a lake or river, casting his line. He also has a love for animals, particularly his dogs. He has a smile that could light up a room.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this challenging time. With the love, support and prayers from everyone, and Jack's determination and hard work, he will come out stronger than before. Regardless of whether you donate, we ask you to please share Jack's story and let's fight this uphill battle with him as a team.
