Supporting Lindsay Hall

Hello Sweet Community!
If you're getting this message, you know the beautiful soul Lindsay Hall.
Lindsay and I met ten years ago and ran yoga and writing retreats together in the Northumberland Hills. They were very sacred times, and we stayed good friends. So of course, I was crushed to hear about her diagnosis of ALS. I'm sure you were also.
When an illness like this appears in a community, it's up to every member to find their part to play, their own role in supporting.
Right now Lindsay is actually really well-supported emotionally and spiritually. She's given her heart generously her whole life and that warmth and abundance is with her. What she *doesn't* have a lot of is money.
As you know, self-employed folks don't have pensions. Lindsay has worked hard her whole life, but not in a way that is supporting her financially now. She's had to give notice on her beloved apartment and is looking for affordable housing that will meet her physical needs. As her body meets the challenges of ALS head on, her physical needs will grow, and of course there are expenses attached to all of that, even here in Canada.
We were almost at our goal of $5,000, so I've increased it to 7,500 to help motivate new donors. Of course I would LOVE to raise even more than that. I know she'll be able to use every penny. If we somehow raise more than Lindsay uses, the remainder will be donated to ALS research.
This is the time to come together. I know that question of "What can I do to help?" can feel *complicated*, but actually, simple financial help is a game-changer. If we can come together to help ease her financial burden, she'll be able to focus more fully on her grandchildren, her physical comfort and all the other things she is called towards as she faces this devastating illness with all the grace and courage we know her for. Whatever you can donate will be extremely welcome.
*Thank you* for being part of this. I'm grateful to you for meeting me here. Please give as much as you feel you can.
Warmly and gratefully,
Chris Fraser
