In August of this year, William was diagnosed with a rare form of non-small cell lung cancer called Exon 20. This cancer is aggressive and widespread with several tumors throughout his body, including his spine. The tumor burden to his spine has impacted his mobility, causing him to be paralyzed from the waist down. With this sudden prognosis comes the need for full-time in home care, specialized equipment (electric wheelchair, ramp, mechanical lifts, professional grade hospital bed), as well as retrofitting their home to accommodate a wheelchair.

William is a devoted husband to Kristen and a loving father to 6-year old twins, Holt and Mary Larkins. He is the son to parents, Mary and Jerry, and the big brother to Creighton and Memorie English.
