Ben’s Medical Bills

Hello,

On Tuesday June 6th, my brother Ben went to the Emergency Room experiencing abdominal pain. Come to find out that he had a gallstone that was blocking his bile duct and would need to be admitted to the hospital for an urgent procedure to open the bile duct. Following the procedure the doctors were hoping his blood work would return to normal. Unfortunately, his blood work did not decrease enough and he had other stones in his gallbladder. Due to swelling, pain and medical safety, the surgeon has to removal his gallbladder.

Through all of this, Ben has not had medical insurance due to some unforeseen circumstances. He has tried to apply for emergency Medical insurance coverage through the state but unfortunately he does not qualify. He currently is working for the Whitewater Fire Department but does not qualify for benefits such as health insurance. He is also in the process of applying for full-time firefighter/paramedic positions.

We are trying to raise money to help him and his long term girlfriend (Makinzie) with medical bills and other financial relief while he will be recovering and unable to work.

Ben is currently doing well, and is expected to heal well. He is tough, however this would help with financial stress for him and Makinzie.
