Gift a computer for a classroom in need

Hello, my name is Vihan Aditya Bhattacharjee. I am a former student of Ardenwood Elementary School in the Fremont Unified School District (FUSD). Currently, I am a rising eighth grader. I am so grateful to my school and my teachers, who helped foster a passion for STEM in me. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the last two years of my time at Ardenwood Elementary were very challenging for the students and teachers. Advanced technology became a necessity to maintain the education system. Even though teachers suffered during the pandemic, they kept teaching us using technologies. Without computers across classrooms, our education would not have been possible.

The use of technology in education is even more critical now as students return to classrooms. Advanced technology offers a broader choice of materials that can be accessed easily. It provides a fun and engaging learning experience for students. The most significant impact of technology is that teachers can incorporate new tools, learning systems, and interactive environments in the classroom. Consequently, the lack of technology can negatively impact the students’ opportunities to fulfilling their academic potential. Unfortunately, many schools cannot afford to upgrade their existing classroom technology.

After communicating with the FUSD, I found that there are schools that need the latest technology in their classrooms. Therefore, I started the Little Aid Foundation to raise funds for schools in need. I urge you to donate money to this initiative. Your little aid will make a significant impact on students for years to come.

As part of this initiative, currently, I am fundraising for six computers to be used in all classrooms of a particular grade in the coming 2023 school year. The total budget is $4,000, with each computer costing around $660. I will raise $2500 via this GoFundMe donation page. For the additional $1500, I am arranging a debate tournament on September 24, 2022, with paid registration.
