Japanese International Food Festival in NJ 2023

2023 年 10 月 15 日に行われる、ニュージャージー日本人会主催の秋祭り、Japanese International Food Festival は、ニュージャージー(NJ)州バーゲンカウンティ（群）にある、オーバーペック 公園で行われる予定です。多くのフードトラックと屋台が並ぶ日本のお祭りを、日本人はもち ろんのこと、地域の皆さんに体験していただける機会だと思い、事務局はじめ、ボランティア やパフォーマーの方々も日々励んで準備をして来ました。いよいよお祭りまで1週間という段になって、公園管理局から警察官を雇わねばならないと通達されました。1人の警官につき1時間$80で、10人警官が来た場合$4800になります。

我々はカウンティシェリフのトップやカウンティボードなどに相談するなど、やれることはやり ましたが、公園のイベントには警官を雇う必要があります。

これまで準備にがんばってくださった方々、必死で練習をしてくださっているパフォーマーの方々、楽しみにされている地域の方々をがっかりさせたくないので、中止にすることは考えられません。

The Japanese American Association of New Jersey (JAANJ) is hosting the Japanese International Food Festival on October 15th, 2023 at Overpeck County Park in Ridgefield Park, NJ. We have been diligently planning and working on this event for months to bring great food, activities and cultural entertainment to our beloved Communities in NJ!

About 1 week before our event, we were contacted by the Park Dept and County to hire Police Support for $80/hour per Officer for this event. Unfortunately, this last minute request left us with little to no time to prepare for this cost or create many options of how to cover this cost.

With so many hours invested towards this event by all of our volunteers, rehearsal time spent by the performers and all of the messages of excitement for the event we've received from our communities, we cannot consider cancelling the event.

So we are hoping you can help us raise the funds necessary to hire Police Support to keep everyone safe and protected at our event. Thank you all for your kindness and care! Even $5 towards the event will be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!!
