Kidney Transplant

Dear Friends and Family,

I have kept this private for some time, as I did not want to alarm anyone until things got serious. Now is the time to share something that I have not told very many people about.

I was diagnosed with kidney failure in June 2023, have been in the hospital 6 times, and finally started daily dialysis in September. Being diagnosed with a terminal disease has caused me to be disabled, and my doctor has ordered me not to work. Since being diagnosed, there have been several complications which have either left me home bound, or hospitalized. As much as I want to show up to work, my body is not able to. I am in need of financial support while I undergo treatment, and wait for a new kidney. Typically finding a kidney could take anywhere from 2-weeks to 2 years, however I have an O+ blood type (which is a rare blood type) so it's hard to say how long it could be.

The funds raised will be enough to cover 6 months of essential personal expenses: bills, housing, car payment, insurance, and food.
