UPDATE January 1. 2022:
Today our family shares the sad news that Kean has succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the catastrophic  accident on Boxing Day.

The family requests privacy while they navigate this terrible loss.

On Boxing Day 2021, Kean and Dylan McKenzie stood on a corner in downtown Toronto with their father, waiting for a crossing signal, when a motor vehicle collision hurtled a vehicle towards the sidewalk. When the vehicle made impact with the crowd of pedestrians, both Kean and Dylan sustained critical injuries. Their father, Sean was also injured.

 

Dylan is in serious condition. Doctors are still fighting to save Kean’s life. 

 

Once the boys leave hospital, they face a long and uphill road  to recovery. There will certainly be surprise expenses along the way.
