"Bo" Fund Me!!! Help Our Girl Heidi...

Donation protected
Our girl, Heidi, needs our help.

No one likes asking for help, and Heidi is near the top of that list, so I'm the one asking (after pleading for permission, of course). Heidi is also usually private about her business, so if everything had gone as planned, very few of us would even know that she had her gall bladder removed on March 5th. Unfortunately, she has now experienced some terrible and unresolved complications. This has brought an unexpected extended hospital stay (as of today; she's still there...), the accompanying expenses, and at least 4-6 weeks of missed work including the now-extended recovery. If you can pitch in to help, please do. If you can't, please pray and share with your network. If you need to know more, keep reading...

After what was supposed to be a routine laparoscopic gall bladder removal, she returned to the hospital Monday, March 10th with jaundice and intense pain. They suspected a wayward gall stone blocking her bile duct, so they ordered an MRI, but that was inconclusive. To look for what the MRI might have missed, they then did an endoscopic procedure (ERCP) on Wednesday with dye and cameras. If they found a stone, they would also be able to remove it through the procedure, so it seemed like the best plan of action. While they didn't see any gallstones, they cleaned out the bile duct while they were there, and at that point, she was feeling a little relief, and she was even able to eat her first meal in several days.

At 2:30am that night, though, a different and more excruciating pain woke her up. The doctors believe she had developed post-ERCP pancreatitis which is actually uncommon and only seen in about 10% of patients. This type of pancreatitis usually passes soon, but readers, IT DID NOT. On Friday, March 14, they did a CT scan with contrast because of the continued intense pain. Other than managing and defining the source of her pain as "acute" / "extreme" pancreatitis, they still haven't found any other explanation.

So here we are... our girl is STILL in the hospital with no solutions.
We estimate the current debt and lost income at @ $10K as of this point, but we'll keep you updated and reduce / increase goal to correlate with their needs.

On behalf of all of us (and all of you) who love Heidi, Greg. Owen and Harris, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
