Help Ian Stay In College!

Hello, my name is Ian Thrasher. I am from Kenosha, Wisconsin, and I am a sophomore and Honors student at the University of Utah. I am majoring in Film and Media Arts with a 3.6 GPA. I am also involved with the National Society of Leadership and Success and the Honors Society (Phi Beta Sigma). I also have a blog, which you can view here. It's small, but I plan on expanding it within, say, the next couple of days.
The reason I am putting together this campaign is because I love going to college, and I would love to continue going to college. However, a debt to the tune of $3650 that was successfully disputed for last year’s student loans has cropped up again, and the proof that we supplied last year was no longer acceptable. Unfortunately, the company to which the debt is owed has become uncooperative, and on Thanksgiving, we officially reached a dead end in resolving the dispute with the debt.
The bottom line of all this is that my student loan will not be approved until this debt gets paid. And right now, I cannot afford to pay it, nor can my family. I have 31 days to come up with $3,650 otherwise I will need to drop out of school.
If I am forced to drop out of college and take the matter to court, my family will end up paying the same amount that is owed and more in legal fees which we cannot afford right now. In addition, we will be held responsible for making good on this year’s tuition fees, which could cripple myself and family since the plan was to pay off my college loans after I graduate. The only solution is to pay off the $3,650 debt as soon as possible, that is why I am hoping I can raise the money in time so I can register for classes for next semester and stay in school.
So, I humbly turn to you all today and ask for your help. Any financial support you can give is GREATLY APPRECIATED! If I can continue on at U of U I will be able to establish residency which will cut my tuition in half next year. And if I can continue next semester and not drop out, I can stay on track to complete college in three years which was another way for me to reduce my overall college debt that I will owe after I graduate. I realize the holidays are here and money may be tight for you right now. If you cannot support me financially, will you please share my campaign on Facebook or Twitter because I REALLY, REALLY want to stay in college, do well, and become successful in life. With your support, I can keep my dreams of education alive.
