Motor Neurone Disease, devastating young dad of 3

Hi My name is Nicole Duff,

I'm fundraising for my Sisters husband (my brother in law) Andrew Hogg,

Andrew is 42 years old and a dad to 3 amazing children, he served in the Army and has worked all his days since leaving school to support his family until just recently after a rapid decline in health.

Alex and Andrew have received the devastating news that Andrew has Motor Neurons Disease(MND & FTD)

Andrew is also suffering from a form of this disease that causes brain atrophy and is a form of Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) causing a clear deterioration in andrews condition.

Unfortunately we have since come to realise Andrew doesn't have life insurance so any form of financial help has now been removed. As a family we are devastated but not yet defeated!

We have started our research into clinical trials that we can get Andrew into that may be able to give him more time with his children and wife, one which is sounding quite promising but is outwith the UK, also different activities and equipment that will be needed to make this as easy and as comfortable as we can for Andrew, his wife and 3 babies.

This disease is terminal, MND Has a survival rate of 2-5 years from diagnosis and the effects of this will live on with our family for the foreseeable.

I am asking that you could please help, help us as a family come through this with some hope and some ease.

Letting Andrew enjoy as much time as he can whilst he is able, making memories for his family to cherish.

This support would help in many ways, equipment, travel for clinical trials, potential medication that isn't free within the NHS and to also give Alex and her children one less thing to worry about in caring for Andrew moving forward.
