Big White Mountain Early Learning Centre

After 2 years of volunteer driven hard work on this important project, Big White Mountain finally has an opportunity to launch this Fall a much needed Early Learning Centre for the youngest members of our population. Catering for 18 months to 5 years old,  this will be a fantastic addition to the mountain's amenities,  allowing new families to move here,  businesses to grow with new employees, real estate to sell, and our youngest residents to have a quality pre-school experience without leaving the mountain. We have the approved space within the community school, the  necessary refits are done,  a fabulous teacher has been recruited, and the initial permit is in place. HOWEVER.....to balance the budget in this first year while we all spread the word far and wide, recruit new kids to attend, and get this great project up and running, we urgently need to fundraise to allow the Community Development Association to go ahead as the financial sponsor of the project. Just imagine if even half of our 400-ish local residents, supporters of the mountain, and those businesses who do work & contracts on the mountain, were all to contribute $25 each?  We would be fully funded in no time! And we would be able to confidently open the doors this month and welcome our newest set of youngest skiers to have fun through play, while learning in a safe and nurturing environment.  Either as a registered student OR as a drop in participant. And their parents would be able to continue to work up here, or simply go out and enjoy all the skiing and recreation that this wonderful mountain offers!

This is a first year, one time request only towards operating expenses. In Year 2 we would be eligible for various grant monies including gaming funds to allow us to keep registration fees affordable for families.
