Dear compassionate supporters,

In August of 2022, courageous individuals who were once students of Christian Centre Academy, now operating under the name Legacy Christian Academy, took a bold step forward by publicly sharing their deeply disturbing accounts of abuse endured during their time at this private Christian school situated on the north end of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Read the first article here: CBC Investigates Exorcisms, violent discipline and other abuse alleged by former students of private Sask. Christian school https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatoon/abuse-alleged-former-students-of-private-christian-school-1.6532329

During their time at Legacy Christian Academy/Christian Centre Academy, these students expected a safe and nurturing environment, one that would foster personal growth, academic excellence, and spiritual development. Instead, they became victims of various forms of abuse, including physical, emotional, and psychological mistreatment perpetrated by those in positions of authority who should have protected them. Criminal police complaints were initiated by former students to Saskatoon Police Service in 2021, a year prior to the public article.

The impact of this abuse has been far-reaching, leaving lasting scars on the lives of these survivors. Many of them have battled severe emotional trauma, anxiety, depression, and even contemplated suicide as a result of the horrors they endured. The aftermath of this abuse has affected their ability to form healthy relationships, pursue educational and career opportunities, and find solace and stability in their lives.

To seek justice and hold those responsible accountable, a class action lawsuit has been initiated on August 9, 2022.

However, the pursuit of legal action incurs significant financial costs, including legal fees, court costs, and expert witness expenses. This is where your support becomes invaluable.

By contributing to their GoFundMe campaign, you will play a vital role in ensuring that their voices are heard and that the truth about the abuses they endured is brought to light. Your donation will directly support the dedicated legal team representing these survivors as they work tirelessly.

The defendants named in the class action encompass former teachers, former school staff, pastors, Sunday school teachers, and the institutions that are accused of permitting these heinous acts to occur, which includes The Government of Saskatchewan.

Criminal charges have been laid against 3 former staff of the school and church in 2023:

Former director of the school charged:

Former principal of the school charged:

Former athletic director/coach of the school charged:

Thank you for joining us in the fight for justice ensuring there is not another generation of abuse victims from this institution.

All funds donated go directly to the lawsuit.
