On April 30, 2014, Big Wes suffered a seizure, during which he experienced uncontrolled movements as well as difficulty and inability to speak. After being admitted to the hospital he was diagnosed with a meningioma, a slow-growing tumor set in the membrane surrounding the brain. While the tumor itself is not cancerous, if left alone it would continue to grow and put pressure on the brain, causing damage to Wes's motor function and speech. With a smaller mass, a less invasive treatment would most likely be less expensive, but the size of Wes's meningioma makes surgery necessary. While Eileen and Wes do have insurance, the cost of the surgery is anticipated to be at least $40,000, and insurance may not even cover half. Out-of-pocket expenses are expected to be extensive, and they could use a little help. Any donation is much appreciated. With love and thanks...
