Tyler Hilinski Memorial Fund

CougNation has lost a cherished family member. Tyler Hilinski passed away this Tuesday, January 16 after taking his own life. His parents Mark and Kym and brothers need your prayers and blessings following this unthinkable tragedy. Tyler was an incredible talented and gifted football player and was poised to take the helm as QB and leader of the Cougs this Spring. As great of an athlete as he was, he was an even better friend, teammate, son, brother, nephew and grandson. Tyler had an infectious smile and his energy was contagious. Tyler's older brother Kelly said this on behalf of the family: "We, as a family, are grieving after receiving the news that my brother, Tyler Hilinski took his own life this afternoon. We are in complete shock and disarray. Tyler was the kid that put a smile on everybody's face when they were down, especially his family. We will mourn the loss of Tyler for some time but celebrate the way he lived his life every day."
CougFam, the Cougar Football Family would like to help raise funds for the family to help them get through this huge loss. Please donate what you can to help support Tylers memorial and associated costs.
The rise of teenage and young adult suicides and attempts is greater than it has ever been. Lets start talking about mental illness. Mental health issues are very real. Talk with your loved ones. Let them all know they are loved. Show them you care and you love them. Let’s not let Tyler’s passing be in vain. CougNation rises when a family member is in need. Rise up with a donation and rise up by talking about mental health issues so we can shine the light needed on this crisis. Let’s show the Hilinski family the strength of our community and of CougNation. Go Cougs!
Note: Funeral service details will be shared when they are finalized.
