10th Annual Homeless Shoe Drive

As a former homeless child from age 8 to age 12, it has been my adult mission to give back to a community that was a significant part of my young adult life. Currently, More than 3,000 people are experiencing homelessness, in both sheltered and unsheltered locations, each night in Charlotte-Mecklenburg, according to the most recent Charlotte-Mecklenburg housing data snapshot.

Eight years ago, I started at the Men's Shelter of Charlotte from the back of my pickup truck with my best friend and his daughter, this year we are expected to have at least 13 of us sitting down with our homeless men near Christmas to change out their old socks and shoes with new shoes provided by you all.
