Most of you might already know the situation I/we are in with Jessica. Her lifelong battle with tuberous sclerosis has me at a crossroads where I am now trying to figure out if I retire early and stay home full time or work as long as I can. We won't know for months if the surgery she had on Friday will be successful. Praying it will be so she never has to go through hydrocephalus again. Probably not many know other than family and friends that she lost the use of her legs for walking. They suggested we let them take her from here when she's released to a physical therapy center to stay for about two weeks. I told them I can't do that because she's never been away from her family. I will take her to appointments and work with her at home too. I mean we have all been doing it anyway especially with the hydrocephalus. Because she couldn't walk at home either, part of the reason I wanted the surgery done sooner than later was because it makes it hard on her. I would like any advice , ideas or opinions and PRAYERS that I do the right thing for my daughter. She has had to fight hard her whole life and I want to make things as easy on her as possible. She is never left alone, so if I work a little longer she will always have someone there with her. This is hard and overwhelming at times. I appreciate everyone for the prayers, messages and chats. Life is short and we all have our battles so I also pray over you all too. Love and Hugs ❤️
