Mike's medical fund

Our new journey began 9 months ago when Mike lost his job of 18 years suddenly. As with most people, we live paycheck to paycheck but we also had the security of insurance. The loss of his job meant the loss of insurance. So, we got outside insurance but after 4 months of him being unable to find work, we had to cancel due to it being unaffordable. Around January, Mike noticed he was having a shortness of breath & finding it harder & harder to catch his breath after any activity. We felt that it was stress related. So Mike just kept going to interviews & doing what he had to do. Mike found a job just recently & we were both elated. This job also offered insurance. After the first couple of  days, Mike came home & was exhausted & so out of breath it took him a very long time to bounce back. We knew there was more going on here. Mike ended up in the emergency room due to him being in AFib. His blood pressure was crazy high. Mike stayed in the hospital on the cardiac wing for almost a week with Congestive Heart Failure & COPD. Praise God we took him when we did or the outcome would have been fatal. Mike is home now & is on oxygen as well as medications. Mike has an in home nurse that will come & check on him every few days. Mike will be on a whole new diet & will not be able to work for awhile. So we find ourselves in need to reach out for some help. The funds will go towards food, medications & other expenses such as the house payment & cilco. This is a very humbeling, new & scary situation we find ourselves in. Mike is my best friend & I am so very thankful to God that he did not feel it was Mike's time to leave this place. We have so many blessings in our lives. This is just the new journey God has given us & we will endever to perserver but we can't do it alone.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts & God Bless!
