Joe, Michael and Marci Pitt
Donation protected
Imagine coming home to your house on fire. Imagine hopelessly watching your house burn down, knowing 6 of your beloved felines are trapped inside and can't get out. Close your eyes for a second and imagine this is your house with your animals trapped inside, and there's absolutely nothing you can do but watch it happen. Gut wrenching.
This happened to Joe, Michael and Marci Pitt on the evening of October 24, 2015 when their house caught on fire and they ran out in their pyamas. They had to watch their house being destroyed by flames, knowing that 6 of their most loved cats were trapped inside. When fire was under control, 2 cats were found and brought to safety. One of their beloved cats was found dead, and 4 of them are still missing. No one knows if they got out or not.
The house is completely destroyed, they lost everything and on top of that they have to deal with the loss of one or more of their cats, something that can never be replaced.
To make matters worse, Joe's brother Michael is suffering from terminal colon cancer. He had hoped to live out his final days at his house, but their house is now gone. Their siberian cat Hawkeye was his support and comfort. Hawkeye is missing, and we hope and pray that he will be found so he can continue being Michael's support on his journey.
Joe, Michael and Marci will need help to rebuild their lives. Please find it in your heart to help them. If you know them you know that Joe is a Cat Fancier and likes to show his cats and he loves them very much. If you don't know them, then ask yourself if you were in their shoes, how much you would appreciate the kindness of people you don't know and have never met, and maybe you will find it in your heart to help out with a monetary donation or otherwise
At a later time we will have an update of all the things Joe, Michael and Marci will need to start recovering from this tragedy, and hopefully we will also have an update on some of their cats.
Thank you for your kindness and support!
