Help Zuko Heal

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Zuko, a young Presa Canario currently under the care of Fur Warriors Dog Rescue Charity, and any donation will help make a huge impact. Zuko has suffered horrifically inhumane conditions and abuse and needs all the help he can get.

From Fur Warriors Dog Rescue:

Zuko was found as a stray & brought to a dog pound which is different from a shelter, as shelters are full. He sat there for 5 days in horrible shape & in immense pain as they do not offer medical attention. They simply hold them to try to find a rescue or shelter who can help after the hold is up, or they get put down. It’s horrible, but they legally can’t do anything more which is sad and shows how broken our system is.

Once we got him in the crate, I started driving and started seeing him foam and shake, so I pulled over as he was in a seizure. He came out of it then vomited, then exploded diarrhea everywhere. It was in his eyes and nose so I tried to clean him up as much as I could, so he didn’t breathe it into his lungs before we could get to hospital. As I was cleaning his face, I removed chunks of broken beer bottle glass from his face that was imbedded into his skin. Zuko was also shot in the face and lower leg with rubber bullets or BBs, hit with bottles causing glass to be embedded in his skin, and has a torn ACL and maybe some permanent neurological damage due to the severe torture and abuse he has suffered. He also has a front arm injury, bruised ribs, bilateral ear infections, cuts and scabs over his entire body, asthma and was malnourished. Zuko is shut down & defeated. He’s broken but gentle, and we need every penny we can muster to help pay for his already extensive vet care and surgeries.

Thank you for ANY help you can offer us! Zuko was failed horribly by his so-called "owners", and now that he is at least safe and loved we need to do everything we can to heal up this poor boy.
