Greg's Medical Fund

Hello! I have started this fundraiser for my brother Greg Myers and his wife, Heather. Some of you may be aware that Greg is now facing some medical issues. At the end of May, after arriving home from his job as a truck driver, he had a grand mal seizure. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. After several tests, the doctors there found a lesion on the left side of his brain. He was transferred by ambulance to a hospital in New Orleans. On June 9, he underwent surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible. Because of its location, they could only remove a portion of it, and they are still awaiting the biopsy results.

His recovery has gone well, but because of the seizure will be unable to return to his job as a truck driver for at least six months, possibly twelve. Greg has been the sole source of income for the family for the past few years as Heather has been needed at home. She is planning on returning to work but will not be able to do so until treatment options have been decided. They have had to take out a loan to help with bills for June and may need to do the same for July. This fundraiser will help them with these regular bills and the mounting medical costs, as it could be months before they have any income.

They wouldn't be resorting to this, as asking people for money is never easy, but their need for assistance is becoming desperate. They have tried every assistance option through local charities, and either do not qualify for help or have been denied. The state will help with medical costs, but the rest of their bills suffer.

Greg and Heather are deeply grateful for any assistance you may be able to provide at this time. They are incredibly thankful for your prayers, as they are firm believers in the power of God to move in his people.
