Hip Replacement Help
Donation protected
I'm a CO Native Momma and Grammy. I live in a small cottage with my dog and 3 chickens. I've raised 4 awesome kids and have one beautiful Grandson.
For the past two years, I've been struggling with chronic, debilitating pain in my left hip. Although I am still working two jobs, my life has become very hard. I walk with a cane (hobble would be a better description) and am in a lot of pain 24/7.
My doctor says the arthritis is severe and I need a hip replacement. Medicaid will cover the surgery, which is a huge blessing, but I don't have enough money to take the time off. I live very frugally already, trying not waste even one dollar, but there is no extra money. I literally have $5 in my savings account.
I've heard that this surgery can give me my life back. I want that SO much! I want to be able to keep playing ball with my Grandson, take my dog for walks, and keep working and being a productive part of my community. Without the surgery, my ability to walk will continue to erode and my dreams will crumble along with my bones. I'm too young to be in a wheelchair!
It's humbling to ask for help. All I need is one month's expenses to see me through. As soon as I reach my goal, I can schedule the surgery. My hope is to get it done before next winter, so I don't have to deal with ice and snow while I'm recovering. Thank you in advance for considering my need as worthy of a helping hand. I know I can get by with a little help from my friends.
