Give the Gift of Education
Donation protected
Over the past three years, our organization has stood in solidarity with Haitian university students by fundraising to provide them with scholarships. Higher education is a massive financial burden, especially in a country where the education system is limited to students who can afford the incredibly expensive tuition. We believe that education is a basic human right that should be offered to all individuals worldwide, especially our peers who are also pursuing a university degree. Our goal is not to be the face of change in Haiti, but to bring tools to aid these students in the change that they've already begun and to stand in solidarity with them.
These students study a wide range of subjects, from Computer Engineering to Nursing to Business Management, all with the same goal of using their education to give back to their own communities. We currently provided scholarships for 12 students attending university in Port-au-Prince. Your donation will go directly towards funding the continuation of these students' educations.
Our organization is comprised of students at UCLA who are conscious of the opportunities we are afforded on our university campus. We are using our platform to raise awareness about the history of injustice and current political turmoil occurring in Haiti, which affects those who are furthest from positions of power. Haitians are disconnected from political decisions and are suffering from inflation, limited resources, and violence. By investing in education and ensuring that these students can continue their classes, they can continue building a future of grassroots organizing and political activism. Each of these students has already taken the first steps to enact change in their communities and will continue to make our world a better place with your donation.
If you are interested in more information regarding the students we are fundraising for, please visit our website. Our main beneficiary is the grassroots organization called SOPUDEP, which is led by the ever inspiring Rea Dol, who has been acknowledged domestically and internationally.

In order to be fully transparent we would like to inform everyone that the money from this campaign will be withdrawn into a personal account and then our non-profit sponsor, Los Altos Rotary, will wire the money to Haiti. If you wish to see documentation please feel free to contact us @ [email redacted].
