Help give Isabella a colourful celebration of her life

Hi my name is Caz and I am fundraising for beautiful Bella!

I have personally known Jackie and Daniel Bella's Mum and Dad for 25 years and have witnessed their extraordinary commitment to giving back to the community. Jackie has selflessly donated blood over 50 times since 2020, and Daniel has been a dedicated volunteer with the Scouts, engaging with Joeys, Cubs, and Ventures. Together, they have also supported numerous charitable causes, including the Jump Rope for Heart and Two Feet and a Heartbeat Walk. Their passion for helping others is truly inspiring.

Today, we are reaching out to you with a heartfelt request for support for a brave little girl who needs our help. Isabella was born with congenital heart disease, specifically Congenital Corrected Transposition of Great Arteries (CCTGA), pulmonary atresia, and two holes in her heart. Her journey has been marked by immense courage and numerous medical challenges along the way.

At just only 10 days old, Isabella underwent her first open-heart surgery. Recently, she faced her 7th cardiac surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne on July 22nd. Following this complex procedure, Isabella has experienced severe complications, including septic shock, acute kidney failure, and total heart block. She is currently in ICU recovery and is scheduled for surgery to receive a permanent pacemaker within the next 48 hours.

The financial strain on Jackie and Daniel is overwhelming as they navigate through this challenging time. The costs of ongoing medical treatments, specialised care, and the emotional toll on their family are immense. Since being in the hospital Bella has been diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS) a rare disorder in which your immune system suddenly attacks nerves. Its a rapid onset of muscle weakness. Bella currently has paralysis of both arms and legs. Recovery can take anywhere from 6 months - two years.

They have always been there for others, and now, we have an opportunity to show our support and solidarity with them.
