9-11 rememberance light project

Three years ago, because of COVID and canceling of events, we got lights and put on our own memorial here in Massapequa Park. The crosses and lights have now become an event that people keep asking to return. We will have the lights out once again Saturday, Sept. 10th and Sunday, Sept. 11th. The crosses will go out the week before once again. This year there will be an addition of a website for you to go on and read and share stories of first responders that were killed that day. As we've done in the past, any money that is collected will go towards the lights, and whatever is left will be donated to a first responder in need with a 9/11 related illness.
