The Daniel Fund

My name is Jack Ellison, and I had an assignment at school. Our class all performed a good deed and soon after that, shared what we did. 

My mom started a group called Tri For Amani, where people do triathalons to raise money for the Amani Childrens Foundation that helps orphans and HIV+ kids in Kenya. That gave me the idea to send money to the Amani Children's Foundation.  Soon after that, I got a letter saying that the day my money got there, was the day that the Amani Children' s Foundation received word about Daniel. I learned that Daniel is deaf. I also learned that somebody from Indianapolis wants to give Daniel a cochlear implant so that he can hear! I put up an envolope in my classroom and told my classmates that I had started the Daniel Fund and that they could drop money off in the envelope to help the kid named Daniel. I learned that a small thing, like sending money to the Amani Childrens Foundation, could save somebody's life.
