Gaza Family Reunification & Rebuilding a New Safe Life

Hello, I am Hala, a Palestinian from Gaza. Here with me are my husband Mohamed and our children Selen and Leen. We had a peaceful life in Gaza, which we worked hard to build over the past 19 years in Gaza City. However, it now seems almost impossible to maintain.

The family comprises 13 members, including 5 children aged between 2-14.

OUR JOURNEY

It is heartbreaking to admit that we have lost everything. Our beautiful home, our business, our lives, and dreams - all gone.

We had to leave our home with just a small bag of clothes before it was bombed and burned. So, yes, we lost EVERYTHING, from the biggest to the smallest detail.

We went through unimaginable hardships. I never imagined facing such terrifying and catastrophic situations with our children. We lost our home and our parents' homes, narrowly escaped death multiple times, and endured hunger and lack of medicine.

We felt terrorized, abandoned, and hopeless.

We have initiated this fundraising campaign to help us start a new, safe life for ourselves and our children, Selen and Leen. This will enable us to rebuild our lives and find the courage for a fresh start.

Currently residing near the border, our family aims to leave Gaza and seek safety elsewhere. However, existing barriers make this goal nearly unattainable. Egypt demands around $5500 per person for permission to exit, totaling $55,000 for me and my 12 dependents, excluding additional administrative and travel expenses to reach safety in Egypt. We were on the verge of losing hope, but I believe we should not give up. With your support, we can overcome this challenge, survive, and establish a new life.

This is a struggle that no one should ever have to endure.
