The Medley Family

On Tuesday, October 27th, 2020 heaven gained an angel. The world lost a part of its beauty.  Addicyn "Addi" Grace Medley was called home to be with Lord. Our 7 year old angel was taken due to the horrific bus accident that took place in Meigs County.  

Addi Grace, was a light to others. Her spirit lit up a room. She was a talented and extremely smart baby girl. Our second grader loved life, drawing, reading chapter books, and laughed loud. Addi was eager to represent her number 24 as a basketball player this fall. She loved her family! Her mommy, Lindsey, was her rock, the one who worked puzzles and colored with.  She was the one who could always put a smile on your face. "Addo Mado" was her daddy's world, his doll baby.  She knew there was nothing her daddy, Josh,  couldn't and wouldn't do for her. He made her laugh until her stomach ached. Her dearest and most treasured best friend was her brother, Kaleb Lee Medley. They were born just 18 months apart. 

Kaleb too was involved in the horrible accident just days before his 9th birthday. The accident required him to be airlifted to TC Thompsons Children's Hospital where he has undergone surgery. His little eyes and body has been tainted.  He is broken both mentally and physically. Words cannot be said to represent how this big brother feels. When Kaleb will be released, he will be in a wheelchair and undergo months of physical therapy. 

I ask not for your money, but for your prayers. No family should ever have to endure what these young parents are going through. As a proud sister, I have never met two people as strong and forgiving as these two parents are. They all have a very long and hard road ahead of them.  

There is not a coin value that will replace the hurt that they are enduring. However, If you would like to assist with their financial burden for both funeral arrangements and the time and ability to be home with their son as he too battles this painful road ahead. I wanted to also share this....As my brother and I have spoken already, we knew our babies were only lent to us by the good Lord and it is our responsibility to raise them and teach them before they are needed to return home. If you have your babies, hold them a little tighter, kiss them a little longer, read that story to them, put down that phone and listen to them, pick up that crayon or toy, kiss them each night, let them know they are loved and most of all introduce them to the Lord and what he has done for each us. It only takes a second for your entire world to change.
