Highland Fire Destroyed My Dad and Step Moms Home
Donation protected
Hi my name is Lona and I’m fundraising for my dad and step mom, yesterday on 10/30/23 a wild fire ripped through my dads small town of Aguanga, Ca and left a lot of devastation in its path, by the grace of God my dad and his wife were able to escape just in time, they only had time to grab minimal items, and their 7 dogs, but they had to watch their house go up in flames. My dad has lived in this area for the last 15 years with no fire threats and he recently just paid his house off a couple months ago, my dad and step mom are both retired and living on a fixed income and now are essentially homeless with their 7 dogs, they also have 5 cats that are out door cats that they were unable to find. Anyone who knows my dad knows he does NOT ask for help, he’s always figured it out on his own. But this is a different kind of circumstance that no one can prepare for. They completely lost everything. So any help is greatly appreciated, it doesn’t matter the amount, every dollar will help. We don’t know yet what insurance will pay, how long it will take, or what’s even going to be covered but it’s definitely not going to cover everything. His plan is to try and get a travel trailer or something so they can remain on the property and try and salvage what they can, thank you to everyone who has been praying for us and for anyone who takes the time to read this story.
