Miles Medical Expenses Fund

Hello, my name is Terra and this fundraiser is to help my brother, Calvin, and sister, Liz, with medical expenses for my 10 month old nephew, Miles.

Miles is the sweetest, happiest baby with a smile that lights up the room. He loves his family, music, being outdoors, and Mickey Mouse.

Wednesday, November 10th started like any other morning with Miles happy and playing. By the middle of the day that all quickly changed. For unknown reasons Miles became lethargic and unresponsive, and was taken to the ER.

Upon arriving at the ER tests were ran and it was discovered Miles had bleeding on his brain. He was transferred to Children’s Hospital to undergo a craniotomy (brain surgery). The surgery was successful as they were able to stop the bleeding and relieve the pressure it was placing on his brain. Although Miles is showing signs of progress, there is still a long road ahead. In addition to major surgery, Miles has also had to have a blood transfusion, many EEGs, MRIs, cat scans, and more to come.

At this time Miles is in the ICU. The doctors are still working diligently to find what caused this to happen, and what the next course of action is.

Calvin and Liz are putting all their focus and energy into Miles, and the steps to get him back to being his sweet self. They are scared and nervous, but are being strong for their son and each other.

No one can ever prepare for this type of thing, and both parents will be away from work for an unknown amount of time. While we don’t know a lot of details at this time, we do know that expense’s will (and are) starting to pile up.
