All Flint natives.
We understand the demographic of Flint and know that not everyone has access to pick up water from churches or fire stations during the allotted time frame of 9 to 5. We have put together a tailgate to provide unlimited, unrestricted, mass quantities of water to families. The distribution is set up once every 2 weeks in downtown Flint on Saturday mornings. Additionally, we distribute water door to door in neighborhoods. This helps allow us to reach the elderly and people without transportation who cannot get waters from drive up distribution centers.
Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase a large enough trailer to transport skids of water to distribute. Currently we have worked with local and outside volunteers to gain access to trailers, fork lifts, and trucks. We have used our own money to rent and borrow trailers and fork lifts. We would like to be able to purchase a trailer of our own so that we can distribute water more often throughout the neighborhoods.
Since our first efforts we have provide our Flint families with over 20,000 cases of water.
