Help people affected by devastating floods in RS, Brazil

We are Rotaract Club Beyond Borders, a club that is part of Rotary, based in Brazil, but with members all around the world, and we are here to make an urgent plea to the entire Rotary family to help the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in southern Brazil, which is currently facing a devastating natural disaster due to severe floods.

So far, about 90% of the regions in the state have been impacted, affecting more than one million people, of whom over 500,000 are displaced. In response to this crisis, we are organizing a fundraising campaign to support displaced families, providing essential items such as cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products, food, etc. The demands of such a disaster change every day, and the volunteers on the front line need to adapt to the conditions daily.

The funds raised will be sent to the Rotary Clubs in the front line, in Rio grande do Sul, specifically in the districts 4670 (most affected), 4680, 4700, 4780, 4660.

Other than collecting survival supplies, in the district 4670, in the capital of the state, Porto Alegre, there is a project being made by Rotaract Campo Bom where they are also buying school supplies so children can continue studying.
