Leslie Solis is a 9 year-old girl who was diagnosed with stage 3 brain cancer (craniotomy anaplastic ganglioglioma) at age 7. This is her second battle with the disease. She was first diagnosed in July 2017 after she fell into a coma. Since then, she has endured 4 brain surgeries and many rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Unfortunately, the cancer has returned after 3 months of remission. She was on a waiting list for a trial drug but it did not work. At this point the oncologists don't feel it's safe to do another surgery. On May 12th she had a seizure that caused her to be unconscious for 28 hours. The family has received the worst news a parent can hear. The doctors no longer feel they can cure this horrible disease and have been told they can possibly loose this battle in a few months. The only treatment offered is another round of radiation and targeted chemotherapy to buy a little time.
The Solis family has been hit hard by all the medical bills and missed work. They are taking these next few months off work to spend as much time with Leslie as possible. The Solis family would be truly grateful for any donations to help them during this very difficult time.
