Plimoth Plantation Field Trip
Tax deductible
Fifty students from our urban school with 100% free reduced lunch traveled to Plimoth Plantation for an unforgettable experience, interacting with Pilgrims and Wampanoags as part of our Social Studies curriculum. During our extended day field trip, students visited the Gristmill, Plimoth Plantation, and took part in a traditional Pilgrim dinner.
While every student paid something toward the cost of the trip, over half of students needed a 50% scholarship. Although we budgeted for some scholarships, we were also hit with two extra $300 fees from Plimoth Plantation and the bus company. In the frenzy leading up to the trip we were forced to put these charges on our personal credit cards.
We are raising funds to cover these additional hidden fees and the remaining scholarships. We hope you will consider donating to this extremely worthy cause.
Thanks!
