Pectus excavatum operation 8-1

Hello. As we get down to the two weeks before my operation, I've had a number of people reach out and ask about making a meal train during the operation. We are most humbley open to help, Lord knows we will need it. Although a meal train may be something we can do once I am home Our biggest bump in this road will be our first week in Houston while I'm in the hospital. From the medical finance of this, the hotel needed for Drew and the kiddos to stay in down there, and food while they are there. If you find it in your heart to help just know it is appreciated more than you can ever know.

For those that don't know my story here's a rough around story. A few years ago I started developing what I thought was heart issues. Palpitations, chest pain, shortness of breath just doing the simple things , abnormal heart rhythm, serious fatigue and heart rate As high as 180. We could never figure out what the cause was. Recently this year I was admitted due to a serious episode where my heart rate go so high that I almost passed out (which had also happened in the past) but never went to the ER. While being admitted they let me know that my heart itself was over all healthy. What the issue that came up was that I have what they call is pectus excavatum where the chest plate is encaved. My case is so severe that my chest plate is pressing down on my heart into my spine causing the heart episodes as well has pushing my heart out of place. In order to fix this issue, I will be going to Houston where they will have to place two rods inside my chest against my chest plate, suture them to my rib cage, where they will stay for 3-5 years. Normally this is a surgery done when found As a kid but because it was never found, it has caused me a lot of health issues and will be a lot longer healing process. We are in hopes that this will be the fix to my suffering and although we have a long road ahead, I'm ready to get it done and over with.
