Urgent Help Needed for Mom's New Home
Donation protected
My mom is being evicted from her apartment. It’s the all too common story of a wealthy company buying up housing so they can kick everyone out, renovate, and charge twice the rent.
As some of you know, my mom suffered from some brain damage almost 2 years ago because of extreme eating disorders, and I am now responsible for delegating her care and managing her funds. She has been thriving since I got her into the amazing programs I found for her, and they are only offered in the county she lives in. There is nothing that compares to it where I live, and I strongly believe that she would relapse if I were to remove her from them.
I am needing to find her new housing in North County San Diego within her budget, which is almost unheard of, and it needs to happen quickly. I have a couple of prospects in 55+ communities, but we still need to come up with a deposit, and I have to drive down there and move her. Altogether, it will cost more than I am asking for, but this would make it feel much more attainable. I don’t even expect to reach the goal, but any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
