My Best Friend Needs Help

Hi, My best friend has gone thought a traumatic experience in Mexico. While recently on a budget vacation in Mexico she was shot several times . My friend Lisa was sitting having food and drink during at a local bar and eatery when shots was heard , at first she thought it was fireworks but soon realized this was not the case , she had actually been shot several times . The police and paramedics arrived and had taken her to a local clinic to receive treatment. The bullets were removed from her arm and leg. At this point the Mexican police warned her that she needed to go with them to give a statement or be arrested for non compliance. My friend was at this point terrified as they went thought isolated roads , and made three stops ..she honestly felt they were taking her to her death as no one was speaking English to her. Thank God they were just wanting her story of what really happened and she was eventually released from their care. My friends insurance expired one day prior to this event and she had out of pocket expenses of 4200 Canadian . Please if you can help my Best friend recoup some of this money it would be greatly appreciated Thank you so much my friends. This happened in a town called Playa Del Carmen .
