James Gregory Deas

My name is Naomi, James, who went by his middle name Greg was my grandfather. He was the only father I had, he and my grandmother Brenda, who also goes by her middle name, Gayle raised me and my older brother Daniel after our mother passed away. This family has experienced much loss. Both Gayle and Greg’s firsts spouses

died from cancer. They married in 1997, and bought a house in Myakka. Just a few years later they adopted Daniel and I.

In order to give us a good life they sacrificed a lot, most being financially. Greg was an amazing father a provider and supportive and loving husband. Through his two year battle of chronic lymphocytic leukemia he still put his family first. On December 31, 2022 he lost the battle to cancer and passed away in the arms of Gayle and I. I am starting this fundraiser in hopes it to cover all funeral costs. Unfortunately my grandmother, Gayle can’t afford to stay in their house, she is planning on selling as soon as able. There is a lot of damages done to their property and house after hurricane Ian, but if the funeral costs will be covered hopefully it takes stress off with money.
