Creek Fire Rancher Relief Fund

Donation protected
On September 4, 2020, the worst-known wildfire in California’s history was ignited, causing immense damage and loss in the short amount of time since it started. The Creek Fire, in Fresno and Madera counties, has burned over 291,000 acres and is only at 36% containment as of the date we are writing this.

This fire has caused devastation to many, including our ranching community. The Fresno-Kings County Cattlewomen have teamed up to try and help the ranching families who have suffered a great loss because of the fire. These damages include, but are not limited to, death of livestock, specifically cattle, and loss of grazing land to provide feed, as well as structural/ facility damage or complete loss of fences, corrals, cow camps, homes, and much more.

We truly feel it is our duty as an association to provide relief to the cattlemen and women who have dedicated their lives to ranching in our community and have put so much effort and heart into their cattle businesses. The pain will last long after the fire is fully contained, from continuing to lose cattle to health issues in the aftermath, suffering a complete loss of their livelihoods, to rebuilding their lives completely. The FKCCW members are committed to giving them hope and a chance to get back on their feet.

The Fresno Kings County Cattlewomen are asking the community to come together and join us in our efforts to surround our local families with love and support. We are reaching out to you in order to help us achieve our goal of $20,000, which will go directly to the ranchers and their families to alleviate the financial loss they have and will continue to experience.

The Fresno Kings County Cattlewomen Board will require an application and approval process to determine how funds raised will be distributed. Everything submitted will be kept confidential and shared between only FKCCW board members.

Any amount you are able to donate will be greatly appreciated. We are thankful for your willingness to help bring healing to those in need in our ranching community.

Applications for financial relief from the Fresno Kings County CattleWomen will be available to the ranching families affected.
