Assist Kareem's Family in Establishing a New Normal

In one way or another, we all find ourselves in the pursuit of love in its many forms, whether it be family, friendship, or spousal. Few of us, though, are granted the gift of love as an actual attribute that helps to define our character and speaks to the very fabric of who we are as a person. Our brother, Kareem Roberts, was such a person. So much so that not only was he an absolute joy to be around, but he was also able to share that love energy with the world through skillful and talented execution in the culinary arts. As sure as being in his presence would lift your spirit, tasting his food would certainly guarantee taking your palate to a blissful place. Known by many in Chicago for his quite memorable menu that went hand in hand with some of the best times at the iconic Slick’s Lounge, Kareem also provided his gift for the prestigious Union League Club as well as a host of many venues and private clientele via his catering business, Anointed Catering, as well as serving as a Deacon with Couriers of Christ Ministries.

Regardless of where his cuisine was experienced, it was undoubtedly obvious that the food was prepared with love and you were almost certain to leave the table nourished both physically and spiritually.

On May 2, 2024, we lost our brother from this earthly plane as the Creator saw fit for Kareem to prepare his remaining delicacies on the other side.

In the unexpected passing of our brother, there are several expenses for procedures and life processes that were mid-term that Kareem’s beautiful wife, 3 lovely daughters, and precious granddaughter could truly use our assistance in resolving. With the many obstacles that are to be faced at hand, all outside contributions will help tremendously in helping to minimize the burden of acknowledging Kareem’s absence and the hardship of attempting to establish a new normal. In remembering all of the love brother Kareem shared with the world, we ask that all those willing and able to assist in lightening the financial burden for Chef Kareem’s family do just that.
