The Connolly Family

Justin Connolly is a 29 year old husband and father who was in a terrible accident. He is the husband to Samantha Connolly. They have 2 beautiful girls, Kennedy 9 and Riley 6. They are previously from Idaho. Samantha since 1999 and Justin since 2008. They relocated to Farmington, NM in July of 2022. They have all fell in love with it here. Never in a million years did they think something like this would ever happen.

Justin was hit by a car on Wednesday October 25th while crossing the road at work. He was in the crosswalk at the time that he was allowed to walk. Unfortunately a driver was not paying attention and ran the red light and hit him. He's physically got a lot going on. He has fractures in his skull, a brain bleed, liquid coming out of his ear, his ankle is completely shattered, and has other bruising on his body. He was put on a breathing tube and also medically sedated.

Tuesday evening his sedation was lightly lifted. He was asked by medical professionals if he could hear them to give a thumbs up. By the grace of God he was able to do so! This was a phenomenal thing!

On Wednesday Justin started his morning with surgery to reconstruct his leg/ankle bone. They put an external fixation device to hold it in place until they can come up with a game plan with rods, plates and screws to fix it.

Justin was able to come off of the ventilator also, he is officially breathing on his own. They lessened his meds that make him sleep, so he was able to wake up. He did open his eyes and reach his hand for me. He was also able to mutter, “I’m going to throw up” right before throwing up. All good signs. He still has bleeding and swelling of the brain, so the Doctors are keeping him asleep to not overstimulate his brain. They also found out that he has 4 fractured vertebrae in his back.

Her parents came from Idaho to take care of the their 2 girls. His parents are in Albuquerque right now with Samantha. There is a lot of emotion and feelings going on right now. Any little bit you can contribute to this family will help in so many ways. Most of the money will help pay for normal life expenses such as car payments, mortgage payments, utilities bills and etc. The rest will help with everyday life like food, toiletries, gas etc. this family is beyond amazing and deserves every amount of help they can. If you can not donate money, Samantha has asked for positive thoughts and prayers for her husband, herself, their girls, their entire family, his coworkers who witnessed the accident, and also for the driver who has so much trauma to overcome in the days ahead.
