The Thirst Project is the world's largest youth water organization. Water is a human right. The water crisis affects BILLIONS of people worldwide, and many have very little- to no access to clean water, one of the most basic human necessities. We are privileged enough to use water in our daily lives without thinking twice about it; not only for drinking, but for washing clothes, taking showers, etc. In developing communities, women and children spend on average about six to eight hours each day walking just to get water. This time commitment of providing water for the family prevents children from going to school and receiving an education.
