I am Ahmed el Zaharna from Gaza,

I survived five aggressions on Gaza by the Israeli occupation. At age 27, the most recent war, was in 2021 when I woke up shaking with our building which was bombed and ran under the fire and rubble...Me and my family are stuck there.

With the beginning of the war, at the age of 29, on October 10, the occupation contacted us and the residents of our region. We who live in the Al-Jala neighborhood were asked to evacuate immediately, so we fled without thinking. Minutes later, a genocide occurred in our area of residence. We miraculously survived, but our neighborhood was completely destroyed, and we no longer had a home. It has been completely destroyed. These are pictures of the neighborhood where I grew up. We have been severely affected by the Israeli occupation's bombings. They destroyed both my house and my family’s house. We sought shelter at a hospital, and we encountered scenes of suffering, breathing toxic fumes while sleeping on bare ground for 200 days.

My life flipped upside down since the aggression started and my only dream is to survive this aggression with my family. Me and my family are all depressed and exhausted similar to many of us here in Gaza. ‏I have managed to leave Gaza after 200 days of genocide. My aim in reaching out now is to gather funds to evacuate my family from Gaza before being martyred by Israeli occupation bombings.

‏Adding to our distress, we lost our only source of income.

‏My parents are ailing, grappling with severe illnesses without access to proper treatment or basic life necessities. We are now homeless, without income, and uncertain about their survival amidst this genocide.

‏As Israel bombs each and every place in Gaza. No place is safe, no one is safe, not a Muslim nor a Christian. The churches, mosques, schools, streets, and even cemeteries have all been bombed.

The situation is very difficult, and for this reason, your support for us to leave Gaza for Egypt is very important for our lives. Egyptian boarders are asking for $5000 for each individual who is traveling to Egypt. After losing everything we owned in Gaza City, we are unable to afford this cost and we need your support financially to seek a livable life

I am launching this fundraiser to evacuate my family from Gaza, through the Rafah/Egypt Crossing. Please continue to donate to me and share my story so that we can continue to raise money
