*DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING AMOUNT OF DONATIONS, THE GOAL HAS BEEN INCREASED*
In our country in the past week, we have been plagued by racially motivated events including police brutality, riots, protests, and sadly much more. This fundraiser was created to be able to help those in need. The money raised will be used in ways most effective to helping the Black Lives Matter movement such as the Minnesota Freedom Fund, a fund that pays bail to protesters that have been arrested, and Campaign Zero, a group who's goal is to end police brutality.
George Floyd is just another reminder that there is still racism deeply rooted in this country. The time for silence is over. We must do anything we can not only to help those effected by these events but make sure that these things do not happen ever again.
Thank you all so much for your support. Any donations helps brings us closer to our goal to spread awareness about police brutality and make this a place that is safe for people of any color. Being a bystander is no longer acceptable. You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
The time for change is now.
I will be withdrawing the donations either today or tomorrow. I will then donate half to each organization previously mentioned.
